NICOLA REIF DPANZ, MC-IAPS

Nicola Reif is an award winning Pastel artist both locally and Internationally and her work is highly sought after for their fine detail and exquisite renditions.
A mainly self taught artist with a passion for nature, most of her life has been spent in the company of animals. It seemed only natural that they became her subject of choice.

With a background in Science (MSc in Geology, specifically Paleontology, focusing on the study of fossils), her grounding in science, biology & morphology strongly influenced her style, which is detailed yet artistic. 
Nicola's preferred medium is pastels as it allows precision, stunning clarity and depth of colour, along with the ability to render the lightness of feathers and the softness of fur. It is a medium that complements the subjects she chooses to paint, perfectly. 
A committed wildlife and environmental conservationist, Nicola contributes to worthy causes through the sale of her art each year, both locally & internationally.
